We are a South Africa-based firm providing expert Shariah advisory, audit, consulting, and training services with a strong focus on Islamic finance and Shariah compliance. Our goal is to bridge the gap between theory and application—helping institutions meet Shariah standards while fostering internal capacity.
Our lead consultant, Fahim Hoosen, is a certified Shariah advisor and auditor (CSAA, AAOIFI) with over 20 years of experience in Shariah governance, Islamic law, and professional education. He holds a traditional Shariah qualification (Ālim Fāḍil) and a BA Honours (Cum Laude) in Semitic Languages and Cultures from the University of Johannesburg.
From 2007 to 2014, Fahim served as Head of Shariah at Al Baraka Bank South Africa, overseeing product development, policy review, Shariah audit, and governance compliance. He currently sits on the Shariah Board of the Visio BCI Shariah Equity Fund, advising on Shariah-compliant investment strategies.
Fahim has delivered tailored training programs across multiple countries, covering AAOIFI standards, Islamic banking operations, and Shariah auditing. His approach is practical and grounded in both academic rigour and industry experience. He also develops content, manuals, and e-learning material for scholars and professionals.
In addition to his advisory and training work, he continues to lecture in Islamic law and Arabic. He is also the author of a translation and commentary on the Book of Commercial Transactions from Mukhtasar al-Quduri (Dar al-Hikma, 2016).
We also offer specialised Arabic–English translation services for legal, financial, and Shariah-related documents—drawing on over two decades of experience in technical Islamic texts.
Whether you require independent Shariah advice, a training solution, or translation of critical Islamic content, we would be honoured to support your work.
